The History

The very first edited broadcast from TV Opinion was launched at 22.09.2001 which day is also considered, as it’s real.

The signal of this television is transmitted from Zym of Has, from a hill called “BAJRAK”, the former place of RTP transmitter. This land, which is dedicated for television transmitters, is family property of the founder of the Opinion Television.


Nostalgia about it’s motherland and it’s region inspired his founder Joz Kolndrekaj to name this television as TV “HASI”

Initially it starts with elementary technical tools and few journalists, which journalists thanks to their enthuastic efforts, willingness to contribute and to leas the pain of the war that’s they folk has suffered, they were always ready to contribute by serving on tele-screen the beautiful Albanian word and music, which has been strictly forbidden by Serbian regime at the time.

Initially our program has been experimental 2 hours, rising up slowly and securely up to 12 effective hours non-stop.

Regardless of only two-hour program our transmitters still were emitting 24 hours non-stop, because beside effective program we were emitting slides of marketing photo-commercials followed by music.

Starting with humbled tools but self-investing small loans, for very short period of time, our television raised into considerable improvement scale and pretending to be competitive with other bigger broadcasters that has national status.

Because our signal is emitted over widest area of “Dukagini Flat”, by %63 of complete Kosovo area we were imposed to change our name into TV Opinion.

TV “HASI” the name has been kind of intimation to an institution which was serving information to provincial population and there for it was reflecting the conviction that our television is serving information to this regional area only.

Even though emotionally it was very difficult, we decided to change our name in 2003 for specific reasons mentioned above.

Symbolically the name TV ”HASI” was replaced into TV Opinion. A name is dedicated to viewers which name still remains the same to identify this television.

Changing the name from TV “HASI” into TV Opinion was not the only official change.

The first owner and at the same time the founder Mr. Joz Kolndrekaj appreciated the momentum to pull back from the helm of television and to consign it definitely to his son Mr. Edvard Kolndrekaj who is legitim director of TV Opinion
